FREIBURG – Young people, “Li Hemberî Qirkirina 100 Salê Bi Canda Xwe, Xwe Bi Rexistin Bike!” With the slogan (organize with your culture against 100 years of genocide!), they have been working on the festival to be held in Freiburg, Germany on May 20, for months. Today, thousands of young people from countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland met at the Kurdistan Youth Festival.

The festival started with the young people marching towards the festival grounds with the “Xwe Biparêze” banner. The young people walking towards the stage with slogans uttered the slogans of “Bijî Serok APO” without listening.

After the parade, the festival continued with a minute’s silence in memory of all Kurdistan Revolution Martyrs.

The speech and the program in which the artists will take the stage continued with the speech given by Yusuf Amed and Zekiye Nisebîn on behalf of the Youth of Kurdistan. Amed called for the physical freedom of Leader APO and for the guerrilla resistance in Kurdistan to be embraced. Finally, Amed concluded his speech by drawing attention to the role and mission of the youth in the struggle.

Heval Salih made a statement on behalf of the Martyrs Committee KOMAW. He mentioned that with the beginning of May, the fact that this festival is in the Month of Martyrs is of particular importance. He ended his statement with the slogans of “Martyr Namirin”.

After the speeches, the artists took place on the stage.
